Braces
No doubt, I paid for the whole braces treatment with only RM200 plus! So grateful to be a UKM student. I went for check up during my first year of uni life and requested to do braces. The student helped me check and said my teeth is qualified to put braces on. So my name got into the waiting list. Since then, they never call. Two to three years later, I forgetting useow from my friends they went to find the dentist and they straight away got the treatment. So I called the department. They helped me contact the doctor in charge, then the doctor set the appointment with me. My dr is a master student in UKM. She is from either sabah or sarawak. Wee. She is quite professional in handling my teeth too. So I was told to extract 4 teeth. That terrified me.. indeed, it was really really painful as the tooth was extracted by students. I posted my experience in insta pictures, check out if you're interested. Anyway, this is the 6th treatment and my teeth is well-aligned and tidy. Hee. I remember few days after I got my braces, I showed my senior, she has got braces as well. She said, why you wana put on braces, do you know you need to wear retainer for the rest of your life?! Oh well, I didn't know after she told. Lol. But it is okay for me, I've accepted the fact. Isn't that bad la. I heard my friends said retainers nowadays are quite comfortable. It's like the function of night orthosis, you only wear it while you're sleeping.
Frankly speaking, before all these, I never brush my teeth before I sleep. I told my friends yeah I brush my teeth every night when I bath! But after snacking, before sleep, I never brush. Haha. But! It'll be a no no if I'm not brushing or flossing right after braces! The risk of getting decayed tooth is way higher than before. So I will feel super geli if I don brush. Hee. I'm glad to have Josephine as my dental student friend. She is the one who gives me awareness about dental care. Love her so much! Dr said I might need one and a half year or two years to complete the whole treatment. It won't take longer if nth bad happened such as delayed appointment or the wire and brackets break off.
You know, it feels good to bite apple now. Last time my teeth like kik kik kok kok, easily decayed at the overlapped tooth area. My mum always said, use the hammer to kok your tooth in. Crazy. Haha. Oh ya.. Now I need to spend a lot of time playing with my tongue and teeth after meal. Hate that the food stuck in between my brackets and wire. Ngee. Now I'm getting use to it.
Waiting for the next month appointment, what colour should I choose? Probably light blueee! Okay deal! Hee.Thank god for this opportunity to learn!
